yup, its that time again! the day i look forward to eagerly every week: a sabres game. the sabres will be on home ice tonight against the capitals as they look to snap a three game losing streak at home. they should have some relief, however, cuz washington has a road record of 2-15-2 . but records dont always tell the story. just recently, washington has had two big wins - one over the lightning (7-1: is that actually possible?) and another over the maple leafs last friday (5-1: what is this, the apocalypse?). u can bet that washington is going to have a surge of confidence tonight but im not expecting it to last, not against a team like buffalo.
as for the score: im saying (and dont take my word cuz i wuz wrong the last time!) it will be 5-1 with goals from pominville, vanek, drury, roy and pominville. miller will likely start in net but its possible that conklin could be starting because of the implications of this game and the fact that the sabres have a crucial home and home series friday and saturday against the leafs. im sure that someone from washington will squeak in a goal (buffalo is cursed with not having a shutout for so long!) so if ovechkin scores or someone else then i wont b happy, but all i have to say is THEIR TIME IS ALMOST UP! THEY WONT B PLAYING FOR MUCH LONGER!
it should be noted that this is the first time buffalo will be playing against their former teammate novotny who was just recently traded. i havent heard too much of him but im sure hes adjusting fine (except for the fact that he could have ben part of a winning team - and now he wont even be in the playoffs! )
faceoff is at 7 on MSG, so DONT MISS IT! i no i wont!
