tonight the sabres duke it out against the florida panthers with a 7:00 faceoff of MSG. the sabres are looking to get out of this slump of the past few weeks, going 1-3-1 in their last 5 games.
and against a team in 13th place with 71 points and very slim hopes of making it to the playoffs, buffalo should come out ready to play. however, buffalo has had trouble with florida all year and so this may be a very good game in the end.
my predictions? im expecting conklin to start tonight bcuz ther sabres have back-to-back games tonight and tomorrow and miller really could use a break.
after seeing conklin in the wild game, i was pleasantly surprised. he did a very good job in net and the only goal he let in was nearly impossible to stop in the first place. so if he doesnt start tonight, then he will most likely be minding the net tomorrow.
i think the score is going to be 4-2 sabres, with goals from briere, drury, roy, and paetsch.
its going to be a very close game throughout with two teams having desperations of all sorts, but it should be exciting. buffalo better take the opportunity now to get out of their losing streak before the games really count in the playoffs when 1 loss is much more hard to take. its definitely not going to be easier and they have to give the fans back some of their hope.
