Well, we've been talking about the five worst moments in Bills history, so here's the flip side - an article about the five best Buffalo football moments.

No. 5 - Bills beat the Dolphins on opening day in 1980 to end decade-long losing skid against their archrival.

No. 4 - Jim Kelly finally arrives in Buffalo.

No. 3 - "The hit heard 'round the football world." (1964 AFL Title Game)

No. 2 - Bills earn their first trip to the Super Bowl with a 51-3 victory over the Los Angeles Raiders.

No. 1 - "The Comeback." (Frank Reich vs. Oilers, 1993 Wild Card)

Boy, I remember watching the Reich comeback game. That was one of the most incredible things I've ever saw; then to have the same two teams also involved in the Music City Miracle? That's really something.

Here was a very good moment for the Bills and a very bad moment for we Jet fans. In a 1981 Wild Card game, the Buffalo Bills stormed to a 24-0 lead but needed a last-second INT by Bill Simpson to preserve their 1st postseason victory since 1965.

The Bills led 31-13 lead with 10 minutes left in the game. The Jets, however, refused to die. Richard Todd moved them 80 yards in 8 plays, hitting Bobby Jones with a 30-yard TD toss. After Buffalo failed to move on their next possession, Todd got the Jets within four with the aid of an interference call against Mario Clark that wiped out an apparent INT, in a 58-yard march that ended on a 1-yard plunge by Kevin Long.

Buffalo turned the ball back to New York at the Jets’ 20 with 2:36 remaining. Todd passed the Jets downfield, reaching the Buffalo 11 with just 10 seconds to play. Simpson stepped in front of his 2nd-and-10 try for Derrick Gaffney in the end zone to intercept at the Buffalo one to seal the Jets’ doom. That's why we're known as "long suffering Jet Fans."
