Re: Bills Rookie Camp News QUARTERBACKS
The quarterback competition took another step, but according to Jauron no one signal caller distanced himself from the other two.
"All three are working well together," said Jauron. "They're helping each other. As a group they're advancing and they're pressing each other because they're clearly competitors and it's a critical position for our team."
Kelly Holcomb appeared to be the most consistent passer of the three and with his experience in the league it's not surprising, as he appears to have a bit more comfort with the new system than the other two. Craig Nall, who had a pair of interceptions in this camp, admits he's still working through a few things.
"I think I’m doing pretty good overall," said Nall. "The one thing I’m struggling with right now is reading plays a little bit different. There might be a coaching point here or there that I have to forget about and learn it a different way.”
J.P. Losman appeared more disciplined in this camp and took fewer chances, but still wasn't afraid to gun a ball into some tight areas. He made good reads for the most part, but did have one turnover. I rather see them develop Losman than give Holcomb a shot...Losman is the future...Holcomb is a quality backup in my book. |
