Cool Bills Running backs

According to Real Football365.com

Quote:
The Bills could sign former Tennessee Titans running back Chris Brown as early as Thursday, and that decision appears somewhat questionable. The 6-3, 220-pounder had a stellar 11-game sophomore season in '04, amassing 1,067 yards (4.9 per carry) and six touchdowns. Like McGahee, however, Brown -- a 2003 third-round pick from Colorado -- has averaged just 3.8 yards per carry over the last two seasons, and he isn't exactly a good example of durability. Brown, in fact, has missed 22 games in his four-year career, including 11 last season.

If the Bills do add the 25-year-old Brown, they'll have to sign someone else to accompany him. Reportedly set to visit the team's headquarters Thursday is Corey Dillon, a 32-year-old who could actually make the Brown signing look like a positive.

Can't believe everything you read in RealFootball365 Pundit...a low average sometimes is indicative of the line and/or bad passing game...

Re: Bills Running backs

Chris Brown is a less productive runner than Captain Ahab. Seriously if Chris Brown and Corey Dillon who has nothing left is your backfield than just don't bother with the running plays at all.

Re: Bills Running backs

Heard earlier this afternoon that the Bills resigned Anthony Thomas, so there you go.

I'm guessing Brown will likely go elsewhere now?

Newly signed Thomas shouldn't be Bills' No. 1 back
RealFootball365.com, AZ - 6 hours ago
The Buffalo Bills continued making news at the running back position on Monday, re-signing Anthony Thomas to a two-year contract. Thomas, a six-year veteran, spent last season with the Bills, the fourth team of his career.

While backing up the now-departed Willis McGahee in 2006, Thomas rushed for 378 yards and two touchdowns on 107 carries. In his two 20-plus-carry games of the year, Thomas racked up 95 yards on 20 attempts (24-10 win over the Packers) and 109 yards on 28 carries (17-16 loss to the Colts).

The Bills made a sound decision to retain the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Thomas, but the 28-year-old certainly shouldn't be the team's chief back in 2007.

Re: Bills Running backs

I'm aJets fan but i think the smartest thing to do is trade down a few picks get an extra 3rd or4th rounder and draft Marshawn Lynch.
