Bills S Whitner misses practice with hamstring injury

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Buffalo Bills starting strong safety Donte Whitner missed his second day of practice Friday because of a hamstring injury and remains questionable against the New York Jets.

Whitner, the eighth overall pick in the April draft, hurt his hamstring at practice Thursday and was limping along the sidelines during Friday's workout.

Whitner described the injury on Thursday as "a tweak.''

Running back Willis McGahee and cornerback Terrence McGee both returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two days. The two starters each sustained left ankle injuries in Buffalo's 24-21 loss to San Diego on Sunday.

McGahee looks like he'll go, but I'm not sure about Whitner. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm sure Buffalo really would rather not lose either guy, but of the two, I'd have to say it's more imperative that Willis play, wouldn't you agree?
