LA Daily News - NFL notes: Bills' McGahee could return
Associated Press

Buffalo Bills coach Dick Jauron was "guardedly optimistic" Willis McGahee will play against Jacksonville this weekend after the running back took part in his first practice in full pads Thursday.

It was McGahee's second straight day of practice after breaking three ribs in a 24-10 win against Green Bay on Nov. 5. McGahee expressed surprise when informed of Jauron's guarded optimism.

"When did he tell you that?" McGahee asked. "Today?" Asked if it was a fair assessment, McGahee said: "I guess. To tell you the truth, I don't even know. I would like to (play)."

I'd like to see McGahee back, but isn't this too soon after breaking three ribs? Can he be effective?

Barely three weeks after breaking three ribs? Sounds a bit early but I have no clue how his body heals. I'm sure he'll feel it during the game.

If I was Buffalo, I'd probably sit him at least another week.

Well, he did come back. McGahee was limited to 12 carries but gained 63 yards and 2 TDs. Impressive performance, don't you think?

Not bad, but I'll credit him for his effort and enthusiam to get on the field with an injury.

Honestly, McGahee is the Bills' only offensive weapon.

Wow this team is maturing in front of my eyes, beating Jacksonville was an unexpected victory for this team at least for me. I predicted a 5-11 season but we are now in position (5-6) to possibly break .500 or better. Its good to see Losman win these past two games and for the offensive line to mature like they have been. Not to mention a great sign Willis is healthy and ready to help the team the rest of the way

Guess I was wrong lol.

A nice win from Buffalo to hurt Jacksonville and their hopes of getting into the playoffs.
