As expected Brock Lesnar (1-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will likely return to the octagon at UFC 85, and the fight could come against Team Punishment’s Justin McCully (8-3-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC).

UFC 85 takes place June 7 at the O2 Arena in London, England.

McCully confirmed that he’s been approached about the heavyweight fight while a guest on Friday’s edition of “Inside MMA,” a weekly MMA news show that airs on HDNet.

McCully hasn’t made a decision about the fight and only confirmed that it’s in the works.

I always root for the former WWE guys. Did kurt angle every give UFC a try, i never heard anything on it.

Not yet. Says he wants to get in at least one MMA fight but nothing's happened on that front yet.

Angle has been talking for years about stepping into MMA. But it appears to be all talk. Frankly, the money fight would have been Angle vs. Daniel Puder. Dana White would probably not allow one of his fighters to also do pro wrestling at the same time....but a place like Strikeforce would probably do it.

Lesnar vs. McCully would be an interesting fight.

Ironically, McCully was a pro wrestler in Japan and is right now part of Tito Ortiz's Punishment group. McCully is friends with Rob Van Dam and Samoa Joe.
