| Arizona Wants WWE Wrestlemania 26 in 2010 The annual WWE Wrestlemania extravaganza has turned into quite the economic spectacle for potential host cities. Arizona has reportedly been talking with WWE for months trying to persuade them to bring the big event to the new Arizona Cardinals stadium in 2010. Speculation about their desire hit the internet a week or so ago when a picture of Phoenix Coyotes coach Wayne Gretzky was spotted wearing a Wrestlemania 2010 hockey jersey promoting the Phoenix locale. According to the Arizona Republic, the desire has led to "producing a video featuring Valley notables such as Gretzky, Cardinals player Deuce Lutui and coach Ken Whisenhunt hammering home why WrestleMania should come to the Valley." Wrestlemania 23 was held at Detroit's Ford Field and set a new attendance record for the stadium of 80,103 and brought in about $30 million to the city. Cities realize the financial benefits and are trying to snag a Wrestlemania for themselves. Las Vegas is reportedly trying to finalize a hosting agreement for 2009 (although nothing is official). This year's Wrestlemania (the 24th edition) will be held in the outdoor Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida in March. Talks ongoing to bring WrestleMania in 2010 |

| Re: Arizona Wants WWE Wrestlemania 26 in 2010 Don't know.... I know WM has been held in Vegas before in the outdoors.... but weather there is favorably predictable. It was held one year in Seattle Mariners field, but that stadium has a retractable roof. They are takin a big gamble. They would have to do somethin, but I don't know what.
