Although the UFC won’t host a show in Canada in January, UFC President Dana White “promises” the organization will head to Canada sometime in 2008.
White made the comments during a UFC 77 press conference yesterday. Video clips and transcripts of the gathering are widely available in national and local media.
The UFC originally planned to host an event at Montreal’s Bell Centre in January. However, that event was scrapped when the UFC’s potential deal with HBO fell apart, White said. The Montreal show was supposed to be the first live UFC event to air on the subscription-cable channel.

I wonder if they play to hold the Canadian UFC event off until Georges St. Pierre can fight.

Of course his next fight will be against the Serra/Hughes welterweight winner, sometime in 2008.

That would be a great fight to put in Canada. With "Rush" fight Serra or Hughes.
