Saving Cro Cop?

This is two events in a row were Mikro "Cro Cop" has been embarrassed in fights vs. Gabriel Gonzaga and Kiech Kongo. Many people believed that Cro Cop would be facing Randy Couture in UFC 74 instead of Gonzaga. But now but now to lose twice the way Cro Cop did... Man. UFC commissioner Dana White was right in saying there is no such thing as an easy UFC fight so Cro Cop can't dodge a bullet by facing scrubs. Can Cro Cop be saved?

Re: Saving Cro Cop?

It's so weird. Cro Cop is still considered the best striker in the world and yet he hardly looked calm and collected over the weekend versus Kongo. I don't know what it is.

Cro Cop said afterwards something about his ribs hurting him but I don't know if that's an excuse or what. He needs to look dominant again soon if he ever hopes to get a heavyweight title shot.

Re: Saving Cro Cop?

There's something ot be said about doing something like, bears. The UFC knows Cro Cop's draw value has taken a dive now. If he and the UFC ever hope for him to be a bigtime player in MMA again, he needs a WIN now. Another loss, he could retire IMO. He's already said he will finish his UFC contract (not sure how many fights he has left) and then consider retirement.

Re: Saving Cro Cop?

I read somewhere recently that Cro Cop hasn't returned phone calls from the UFC. He's due a ton of money per fight still but the UFC can't use him as a headliner anymore so they're stuck in the proverbial mud with him.

That is, if he honor his contract. I guess he could still retire early.

Re: Saving Cro Cop?

Cro Cop said yesterday on his blog that he has 5 maybe 6 fights left in him.
