ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Hasim Rahman remained the WBC heavyweight champion Saturday night without beating James Toney. Rahman, handed the crown when Vitali Klitschko retired last year, fought Toney to a draw, a verdict booed by many fans in the crowd. So the 33-year-old Rahman has never actually won the belt in the ring.

Not quiet the days of Ali, Frazier and Foreman. It now seems you don't really need to win a fight to get and keep the belt. Is Boxing done as a Sport?

I actually bought into the Haseem "the rock" Rahman hype years ago. I later came find that he beat Lenox Lewis with a Lucky punch and myself 50 bones lighter. Lewis beat him like a little girl in the re-match.
Oh.... my point was that he has actually won the heavy wieght title, that is if you count a lucky punch "winning."

I guess the story meant this go around...he was handed the belt and then he fought to a draw...but cool Who Dey...we can add Griffey to Favre and Bode Miller...Lets see...you need a hockey player...a track star...a soccer player...a basketball player...a Greco-Roman Wrestler...a...just kidding man...

Probably half the guys that Ali, Foreman , and Frazier used to fight would be the champion today. Jerry Quarry, Ron Lyle, Oscar Bonavena,Jimmy Young and Ernie Shavers. Oh my God, could you imagine Ernie Shavers in the ring with these bums today? He would kill someone.

I do remember Shavers...I remember his bout with Ali in 1977...Shavers could hit hard...and a young Jimmy Young was pretty good as well...wasn't he the kid that sent Foreman into his first retiremet?
