Francona always takes the heat
One thing I have noticed about Terry Francona is that he is a stand-up guy, and deflects any criticism of his players. But last night, after Manny was thrown out at home in a big spot, Francona went to bat for his third base coach as well. Now, had Manny been hustling all the way, he would have been safe, as it took TWO throws to nail him. Just once I'd like to see someone come down on Manny besides Dennis Eckerslay in the post-game show!
