Willy Mo Pena is a great baseball player, but he cannot compare of the dominance of Bronson Arroyo so far this young season. Our good MLB News-Bot pulled up the latest news concerning Bronson Arroyo. Ahhh....finally some common sense. Arroyo has said a million times (as recently as last week in the Globe and Herald) that pitching in the NL is a ton easier than pitching in the AL East. He's admitted that it has most definitely helped him get off to such a great start. Anyone who thinks he'd be picthing like this in Boston is not thinking straight. |

| Re: Bronson Arroyo That being said, I'll bet you he would be pretty decent in Boston, just from the momentum each night garnered from Beckett n Schilling. He would at least be eating innings and keeping Boston from sending out these young kids, who will pitch like their age sooner or later.

| Re: Bronson Arroyo As a rabid Sox fan there is no way Arroyo would be pitching like this in the AL East. Look at his last year in Boston. 4.52 ERA, .281 BABiP, 1.30 WHIP, and most importantly, at least to me his K/9 was 4.3 and dropping like a cliff for the past 3 years. Just for comparison Roger Clemens ERA was barely below 4, not too shabby but nothing like it has been in the NL Central. Pedro's numbers, as much as it pains me to say it, he has benefitted from the NL too. |
