John Lester Throws A No Hitter Vs The Royals

the Red Sox John Lester threw a no-hitter against the Royals tonight

just 2 walks and 9 strikeouts ..... awesome performance .... his record improved to 3-2 this season with a 3.41 ERA

truly awesome as last season he was diagnosed with cancer

Schilling will be coming back this season and Lester was one i was thinking would be a choice to sit .... but how can you sit the kid now ?

Lester is having an odd year...relatively unimpressive in his first six starts...and suddenly..a bit more impressive over his last five.

I'll keep my eyes on him. Three years seems about right...statistically players peak between 27 and 29.

beckett
schilling
okajima
matsuzaka
lester
papalbon
and on and on and on , the boston pitching staff is loaded. plus, its no coincidence that veritek has been the mastermind behind 4 no-hitters. he's paving the way to cooperstown. i know its only may but i think they can repeat. the offense is loaded with the perfect balance of base-runnung and power hitting. and beckett is untouchable in teh playoffs
