Hi Simon & thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately, I live in Southern Connecticut where the majority are Yankees fans. Actually it isn't so bad, especially now that I can rub their faces in the crumbling Evil Empire. My mother is a big fan too, she has a spare room that is all Red Sox & she is talking about getting a tattoo. My husband got me my tattoo for my birthday. My marriage may crumble but the Red Sox are for life (ha ha). Maybe you can tell me if/when they are bringing the trophy to Connecticut. Me & mom want to go (without husbands). I might take my son (he follows in my footsteps).

Another question, nobody remembers maybe you will. In the 2004 playoffs, do you remember Francona putting Alex Cora in the bullpen (late in the game, he didn't pitch)? I need to prove it to someone who thinks I'm nuts.

So what kind of deals could Boston be involved in at the Winter Meetings?

It appears they won't be in on Santana. Will they look at another starter? Or will it only be Coco Crisp on the trade block?
