I'll agree that it is a stupid statement but offensively he has done it. Batting 429 with 9 post season dingers. Where's the rest of the team ???

The guy has put up big numbers in the post season himself and if Boston looses then oh well. He didn't rip up his teammates or coaches he just said there is always next year and it's not the end of the world. What do want him to say ?that he will jump off a bridge?

This guy could never practice and never show up for games and people would still endorse this idiot, chuckle,chuckle, thats just manny..

btw he only had 20 homeruns and 88 rbi's with a BA of .296 during the regular season, not too impressive if you ask me..

I saw the whole interview and I don't have a problem with anything he said. It IS NOT life and death. I'm over the Yankees losing to the Tribe already and have moved on. The guy is hitting over .400 and carrying his weight. The Red Sox fans should be focusing on guys like Lugo and Crisp blowing off an "optional workout" yesterday. Nothing anyone says or does is going to bother or even register with Ramirez anyways. Like Gotham said, give me the politically incorrect .450 hitter over the guy who is below the Mendoza line saying how much it means to him to win it all.

Maybe not but it got them into the playoffs. Of the 44 players that are ahead of him in the average stats only 2 of them had fewer at bats than he did. Ordonez had an additional 112 at bats and only 8 more dingers. Ordonez has how many stats in the post season ??? WAIT ... he didn't make it ... or should I say the team didn't make it. Hammer on Manny all you want but it will always be a team effort. If not then I want to know why Detroit didn't make it ???

Last year Manny was 13th in the avg stats and Ordonez was 39th. Neither seem consistant if that is what you are looking for.
