Manny cares. The way he said what he was trying to get across didn't come out totally correct. Which is why he usually doesn't talk.

so I translate this as, Its ok if manny doesnt care about winning or his team as long as hes hitting really well right now thats all that matters..

Hitting well is winning...you can talk the talk and hit .200 and never win...or you can hack the heck out of the ball with a bad attitude and win.

I always though that Shoeless Joe's batting average during the scandal spoke volume for his level of involvement...the guy really didn't have it in him not to try and do well.

exactly, hes hitting well and pulling them through the post season, so its ok if he doesnt care..

You guys get to wound over this. It's not like it was the first time he has ever spoken in this manner. Open mouth, insert foot. He just doesn't care. Right or wrong he is still producing for the team.
