Clay Buchholz of the Boston Red Sox will not pitch again this season.

According to PA SportsTicker, "Red Sox manager Terry Francona announced Friday afternoon that Clay Buchholz will not be considered for the club's postseason roster after a series of tests detected mild fatigue in his throwing arm." Will they miss him in the playoffs, or can they get the job done without the rook?

i think the answer is a little of both ....... the could for sure use him ... but they can do it without him

at this point i think the bats are the key element

They got as far as they did long before his arrival. He would be a great addition but if they can't do it without him, they probably wouldn't get it done with him. At this point it truly is a team effort. They do have an adequate pitching staff. More would be better but they can survive without him.
