Dan Duquette, the former Boston Red Sox GM, has emerged as a candidate to become the Pittsburgh Pirates' chief executive officer.

Duquette recently met with Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting, multiple baseball sources confirmed Monday.

CEO Kevin McClatchy is stepping down at the end of this season.

I'm not sure I get this. What has Duquette ever done, besides ☻☻☻☻ off all the players and basically alienated Roger Clemens to the point that he never wanted to play for Boston again?
