The Red Sox have traded outfielder Wily Mo Pena to the Washington Nationals for a player to be named later.


Was there just no room for the guy? I thought the guy would provide some pop in the post-season.

as quick as this deal was made, it just makes me wonder ....... almost seems like they had a reason behind the scenes to hurry up and get rid of him ..... problems in the club-house maybe

I am disappointed in this kid...came up as a Yank I believe and then in Cincy it looked like he found his stroke and now he is traded for the infamous player to be named later...how the heck does that work any way?...you keep naming names until they agree on someone?...I mean can a team keep saying...nope...nope...not that one either...nope...we will give you our 26 yearold 1st baseman in A-ball and that's about it...

It depends. The GMs will go over a list of names and a player will be chosen. When? I have no clue.
