Re: Red Sox Daisuke gets deal with Upper Deck

This is another part of sports that I am starting to hate. Athletes who sign exclusive contracts with one company. If it is what I think, he will not be able to sign any other item other than Upperdeck items, or items they allow. I ran into this a few years ago at the football HOF. Young and Marino were there signing autographs. I was going to go because there were a few things I wanted to have signed. In the paper, there was an article that showed what they would be willing to sign because of their contracts with certain companies.. I never went because I didn't have any, and I wasn't going to buy theirs with the inflated pricing at the event.
