Cool Lester has been so-so

So far, John Lester has had a 1.42 WHIP and a 5.09 ERA...I haven't seen him pitch live, yet. For those of you who have watched him, how does he look?

Cool Re: Lester has been so-so

Actually, he's been worse than so-so. He got lit up by the Angels last night.

Re: Lester has been so-so

eh, cant hold that against him, i think in time he will be fine thats a big medical issue to recover from. tho i doubt he will have full confidence this year, but im sure after a healthy off season he will be a good pitcher for the redsox for years to come

I hope you're right Merv, I have him in both my fantasy leagues and he's been killing me the last couple of weeks.

Re: Lester has been so-so

Lester is afraid to throw the ball over the plate and this causes high pitch counts. I don't believe he has great stuff, and he knows it. I have a feeling he is a bit, if not a lot, overrated.

I have to agree. |I think he is being romanticized too much. He had a few good games last year then was diagnosed with his illness. He overcame that and people are expecting him to be an allstar because of a couple starts.

Cool Re: Lester has been so-so

He was sent down the minors yesterday for at least one start.
