Cool JD Drew

Drew left the game against the Braves Wednesday night with with tightness in his right leg and has not played since...

What did they pay this guy, 75 million bucks?...Hitting 243 with 6 homers and 30 RBI's slugging .386....

What was Epstein thinking? Too much "Money Ball" theory...with his high on base %....That theory makes sense with fringe players, but not a 'soft' slugger that you're paying 75 million bucks to.

Am I wrong?

Boston Red Sox right fielder J.D. Drew left the game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night because of tightness in his right hamstring.

Drew doubled to lead off the third inning and later scored. He was replaced in the field by Eric Hinske in the fourth.

According to Red Sox spokesman John Blake, Drew felt tightness in his hamstring while running the bases.

What a surprise. The Sox should have just taken 75 million dollars in single dollar bills and had a "chuck up" during one of their games. Anybody remember when kids used to "chuck up" their baseball cards?

Ah the good old days.

Re: JD Drew

I thought this was a terrible signing when it happened. Fortunately their pitching has been good enough that they haven't had to rely on their bats.
