Yeah, like you I never thought I'd take Bonds side over Schilling... but someone needs to tell Curt that Barry's NEVER "confessed" to doing all of that. I have no idea where Schilling got that idea. I guess it's like that TV commercial... Curt Schilling was commenting on Barry Bonds out of his "ignorance" because he sure doesn't seem to be well informed on the situation.

I think Schilling goes too far in ripping his personal life, and I will agree that Bonds is a great palyer, he would have been great without the steroids. A Hall of Famer.

But... The steroid issue hangs over this whole era. And I don't care what race you are. There are men of every race who I think, as well as a lot of others, cheated.

Will this record stand, yes. Should it, yes, since we can't go back and prove the past.

They will also be in the hall of fame. But that is sort of like having folks at work you have to treat with respect, when you don't respect them.

Bonds, as well as Sosa, Maquire(sp), Palmeiro, Brady Anderson, Lenny Dykstra, and just the countless others, have lost my respect for all time.
The numbers will say Bonds is #1, but I will still consider Mays as my home run champ.

I look forward to the next 15-20 years as some of these role players run out of money. Some of what they write and say will be garbage, but there will be enough truth to bring some of these players down.

Hell, Pete Rose gave himself up.

At the moment it is slander...because its not about Bonds doing or not doing something...it's about Bonds "confessing to doing something"...which clearly he has not...so it is slander...

Bonds should invite Schilling to sit next to Selig at the big homer celebration...

Curt Schilling is simply a attention-starved media-slut (excuse my language). He'll say anything to get some mic time. He made a complete fool of himself at the Congressional Hearing years ago and now wants to make public judgments on Bonds? Bonds isn't the nicest guy but who is Schilling to go around saying stuff like that?
