| Curt Schilling contract Curt Schilling has announced his plans to become a free agent after the end of the season, this coming after the Red Sox allegedly refused to discuss an extension during Spring Training. Says Red Sox president Larry Lucchino, "The request [for a new deal]... came as a bit of a surprise. But out of respect for him, we met and discussed it, considered it and thought at this age and stage it was probably more appropriate to make that contract decision at the end of the season."

| Re: Curt Schilling contract He is no longer the dominant pitcher, we onced witnessed in Arizona. Schilling is now that "2nd Man" guy in your fantasy baseball rotation, who can get you some decent numbers, but not Cy Young potential. |
