the Yankees suck.......that's right, they suck

how did they not win 110 games or more with that line-up ?

its like the new Murderers Row

(im sorry, i hate them so i dont know the actual batting order)

how do you not score 10 runs every game ?

i know Matsui and Williams were hurt, but gees, you should still score plenty

and just how greedy do you have to be ?

seems their fans need a World Series every year or the year was lousy.....as a Red Sox fan id be happy to make the damn play-offs

i feel like we need Jim Mora as our manager

Matsui and Sheffield were out almost the whole year. That's how. Just because Theo Epstein did a lousy job this year, don't take it out on the Yankees.

Typical Yankees fan

Always thinking their team should dominate and win 128 games every year. While the offense was great, the pitching was downright peculiar at times. And afterall, that's whats wins ballgames. Good pitching. The Yankees pen was questionable prior to the all-star break.

However, you're biggest test will be against the Twins if they take the W.C..

Actually Empire, I'm an atypical Yankee fan. As early as 1998, I was saying it's ridiculous how high the Yankees payroll is compared to the other teams. Why 1998? It was the year after the Marlins won the series, and then dumped their whole team. That year in interleague play, the Marlins came into Yankee Stadium and it was just a joke. They were like a minor league team. And I said: "What the hell good is this? This supposed to be a professional baseball game, not a major vs. minor league exhibition." I think it's terrible for baseball at the payroll disparity.

Having said that, I'll still defend them against a cranky Red Sox fans any day of the week. The Red Sox have plenty of money to spend also.

Ah, but the real question is- how can a team with a $120,000,000 payroll only win 85 games?

A certain team mentioned here does suck... here's a clue:

both teams spend ridiculous amounts of money

and i am a disgruntled Red Sox fan

but that doesnt change the fact that the Yankees suck and they should have won about 130 games this year
