| Manny Ramirez Trade Rumors SI.com's John Heyman writes Boston is again taking offers for slugging all-star and future hall of famer Manny Ramirez. However, they want equal value...whatever that means. He has two years left on his deal at about $17 Million each. The factor that will look good to opposing GMs is Soriano and Lee will likely get upwards of $80-90 Million. Ramirez will only cost about $40 Million. In the end though, I doubt Ramirez is traded. He's just too important to the line-up and David Ortiz in particular. |

| Re: Manny Ramirez Trade Rumors I think this year is different. His contract is very managable, and at those prices, he's a bit of a bargain -- well, as much of a bargain as any guy earning $17 million could be. A GM on a team that's close, maybe a Toronto or an Anaheim, would be willing to pull the trigger and see what Manny can do.
