BLACKSBURG, Va. - Boston College continued its slide through the Atlantic Coast Conference last night with a 67-48 loss to Virginia Tech, the Eagles’ ninth loss in 11 games.

“We are not going to win any games by scoring 48 points,” BC coach Al Skinner said.

Indeed, the Eagles (13-13, 4-9 ACC) may not win any games by scoring 48 points but for a period in the first half, it didn’t look as though either team would reach the number. And the first was the better of the two halves for BC.
