| Re: Boston College / Virginia Tech Ladies and gentlemen, I do believe Matt Ryan has his signature victory. As the Associated Press put it, "The senior quarterback threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Andre Callender with 11 seconds left and the Eagles validated themselves as national title contenders with an improbable 14-10 victory over No. 8 Virginia Tech on Thursday night... Boston College avoided becoming the fourth second-ranked team to lose in the last four weeks, with Ryan throwing two touchdown passes in the final 2:11 after doing little for the first 55 minutes against the Hokies' swarming defense." A fourth quarter comeback, on the road, against a tough divisional opponent... it don't get much more impressive than that. So now Boston College has beat a second ranked team, has improved to 8-0 for the first time since 1942 and is most likely the clear cut #2 until they lose a game - which from this point on, may not happen. | Re: Boston College / Virginia Tech On the last play, Virginia Tech looked like they were in slow motion. How could you two defensive backs not know where the reciever was, while Ryan ran around like Doug Flutie? VT will never win a big game, ever. |
