Boston College QB Matt Ryan

Is Boston College QB Matt Ryan the best QB in the ACC?

Rivals.com seems to think so. In naming him the preseason All-ACC quarterback, they said, "This third-year starter earned first-team all-ACC honors last year and led the conference in total offense (242.2 yards per game) and passing yards (245.5 per game). Ryan owns a 14-4 career record as a starter. His yardage totals could climb this year under new coach Jeff Jagodzinski and offensive coordinator Steve Logan, who have talked about opening up the offense." What do you think?

Re: Boston College QB Matt Ryan

Ryan continues to be not just impressive, but downright dominant.

According to the Associated Press, "The Boston College quarterback was the clear winner in a showdown with another of the country's top players, throwing for a career-best 435 yards to lead the 21st-ranked Eagles to a 24-10 victory over No. 15 Georgia Tech on Saturday night... Ryan's previous best: a 408-yard effort two weeks ago against defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Wake Forest. He's now just shy of 1,000 yards for the season, in only three games."

Georgia Tech safety Pat Clark compared the kid to Brady Quinn. Is he a serious Heisman contender now?
