| Boston College Expecting Big Offense According to the NY Times, new Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski (former Packers offensive coordinator) is expecting to let the ball fly this season on offense. The Eagles are expecting a lot from senior QB Matt Ryan who the Times calls a "second-tier Heisman trophy contender." Former East Carolina coach Steve Logan is the new Eagles offensive coordinator and he's known for his high scoring philosophy. Needless to say, if they can consistently put up 30+ points per game, they could be a force in the ACC. |

| Re: Boston College Expecting Big Offense You know, at first I though this was crazy - especially the use of "Matt Ryan" and "Heisman" in the same sentence. But apparently the kid's better than I thought. According to Wikipedia, in his junior year, "Ryan started 11 of 12 games. He completed 243-of-398 passes for 2,700 yards, 14 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He also ran for three touchdowns. He was All-ACC first-team and led the ACC in total offense (242.2 ypg) and in passing yards (245.5 ypg)." That ain't too bad. I wonder if he can improve on those numbers in Logan's offense.
