Jazz stifle Celtics, who lose KG to knee injury

The Boston Celtics had the most wins in the Eastern Conference, 26 regular season games still to go and absolutely no reason to take any chances with Kevin Garnett's health.

Re: Jazz stifle Celtics, who lose KG to knee injury

Garnett released a statement, saying he would have the knee re-examined on Friday and get an idea of when he could return. Boston doesn't play again until Sunday, but Rivers said the Celtics would rather have Garnett healthy for the playoffs as they defend the NBA title.

Should KG play before the playoffs?

Well the play offs are still a few weeks away and it really depends on just what damage has been done to his knee. They are far enough ahead right now to not have to worry about not making it to the first round of the playoffs. If they make it to the big dance they will no doubt be facing Kobe and company again and that is where they will need him most. There is little doubt that The Laker's will have home court advantage also. If nothing else there should be no rush to get him back into games that mean nothing.

The home court advantage is where I was going with this...hard to believe as well as the Celtics have played they are 2 games behind the Lakers overall. If KG sits the Celtics are giving up the home court in the finals.

With LA having that advantage it ain't gonna be pretty at all. There are some pretty hard feelings going on there.

First things first ... they both gotta get there. Stranger things have happened.
