HOw long did that team play together, and how many titles did they win?

And they didn't rent those players either. Todays player are just hit men, and they go to the highest bidder.

The current team may have more talent, but I don't think they have the passion for the Celtic colors, or the City and fans, like the old school team did.

As far as the Bird, McHale, Parish teams go, I remember the 1985-86 team as one of the best I've ever seen. That team was 40-1 at home and finished the season at 67-15, 15-3 in the playoffs and won the Championship. That was Bill Walton's first year in Boston when he won the Sixth Man award.

There was only one other Celtics team that won more games than that 85/86 team; that was the 1972-73 team that went 68-14 but they can't be considered the best as they never even made it to the NBA finals.
