According to the Boston Herald, the Celtics will announce "in the next day or two" that Paul Pierce has "agreed to a three-year extension with the club." Wonder what the financial details will be. Like Gotham asked in another thread, how much is a guy like Pierce worth?

yes, but he is Mr. Boston right now and non all-star players are in the low 10 mil a year range...so Pierce is still gonna command top dollar no matter how far below a Kobe, Lebron or Wade he might be.

I'm a Pierce fan, don't get me wrong, I kind of misrepresented my actual opinion, Paul pierce needs a top ten guard, Gary P. was the closest thing he's had to a legitimate p.g. he is finals caliber when mathched up with someone who can take serious heat off of him.

If you mean Sebastian Telfair then you will be pleasantly suprised, he really has a head for the game, I think he is the sleeper move of the Danny Ainge era. If he continues to improve in the manner he has so far he'll be more than adequate. If I'm not mistaken he's only 21 and for a kid drafted out of high school he's got NBA experience, I like him.
