Here is an article from Celticsblog.net in which the author argues that the Celtics have no more contract signings that they are regreting. He is happy that the Celtics cast off Raef, and that they are no longer on the hook for Vin Baker's contract. He feels the Celtics are starting to look pretty as far as cap room goes:
Looking forward, we have a good amount of cap space to throw at the young guys over the next 3 years. Of course that means we’ll have a whole new game to play called “How much will it take to keep them?” If Nene can get 6 years and $60M, what will Al and Perk command? (also see Chandler and Dalembert) And what about Gomes, West, Allen, Green, and Telfair? At least Rondo won’t be an issue for several years. Picking up the options on these guys was just the first step.
Oh yeah, and there is that small matter of resigning one of the top players in the game.
Celtics: No More Regret Contracts? So far Telfair, Green, Jefferson, and Allen have been locked up...What is it gonig to take to lock up Pierce?
