Word is that the Boston Celtics are heavily in pursuit of Allen Iverson, currently of the 76ers. A deal was almost done at the draft yesterday, A.I. for the No. 7 pick and Wally Szczerbiak, but that fell through. But the guard may still wind up heading to Boston. Thoughts?

The rumors persist of an Iverson to Boston deal, and now Paul Pierce is voicing his opinion on the matter, according to the Boston Herald. Quoteth the paper, "While sources indicated there was nothing in the works yesterday with the Celtics’ pursuit of Allen Iverson, Pierce put in a pitch for the 76ers’ star." So the franchise guy wants him there. Sounds like Danny Ainge should make it happen, right?

Wally is at $11 mil, and so is another guy on the team...I am not so sure they got room...I think they will have to off load a bit. Just can't picture AI in Celtic Green...I like him...but is that man really a Celtic?
