Re: Celtics: Remembering Len Bias

"When we were in college, he was Superman," Bilas said recently of Bias. "He had everything you'd want in a player. He was a tremendous athlete. Great body. Bias could really shoot it. As good a shooter as Jordan became later in his career, he still wasn't the shooter Bias was."

Great article on Len Bias...one has to wonder if the Celtic dynasty would have continued under Bias...

Re: Celtics: Remembering Len Bias

It certainly would have been interesting to find out. The thing about Bias is that supposedly, or so the story goes, that was the only time he ever used Cocaine. Hard to believe that one, but at any rate, it was a terrible tragedy and waste.

The thing was, the lost Bias...then later they lost Reggie Lewis which was another talent. With those two in their line-up during the early 1990's, the Cletics might have been a contender that decade.

Cool Re: Celtics: Remembering Len Bias

The Celts certainly would have been better but this is when Michael Jordan Bulls became unbeatable and the Riley-Ewing Knicks became really good. So The Celts probably just would have gone down in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs. Tragically, we'll never know.

No, its harder then that...with those to guys on board, all Celtic trades and drafts would have had a different flavor to them. The team would have been more attractive to free agents etc...they may have given Jordan a run for a title or two.
