The Clippers bought out Sam Cassell's contract on Thursday, allowing him to sign with the Boston Celtics once he clears waivers.
Cassell will backup Rajon Rondo and could cut into his minutes. Sam is unlikely to see much of a boost in production but should be watched closely in deep leagues. The Clippers are expected to sign guard Flip Murray to shore up the point guard spot

Agreed. And that's another option the Celtics have at crunch time should some of their other stars draw double teams.

No, Rondo is not a playoff quality starter right now...Cassell in the 4th quarter against the Pistons would be a nice lift.
