| Post your comments about this story here. The Celts, I am told, are the last team in the NBA to add a dance team to what promoters call "their entertainment package." Back in the ’70s, as I recall, the Celtics had three girls, dressed in fetching green uniforms, who used to help out with team promotions, both in and out of the Garden. But they didn’t last more than a couple of years. Just don't seem like a good fit for he team to have a dance team...and whatever happen to cheerleaders?...why does basketball have dance teams?... I mean its about the same these days...but who thought up the idea of a "dance team?"...I can't picture a GM saying..."you know what basketball needs?...Dancing!" ...anyone one to speculate on the best team out there? \ slow Celtic news day I suppose....
