Worst season in seven years? Well, at least there are a few bright spots.

1. Pierce had the best season of his career statistically (26.8 ppg)

2. They are loaded with young talent. As the story says, "The Celtics have four rookies, three second-year players and one third-year pro who was drafted out of high school."

So just wait till next year. Boston will be back in the playoffs, right?

Yep..I rather see a team re-building with young talented players like they are...and miss the playoffs, than employee a bunch of veterns with no chemistry to make one quick run at the playoffs...

Only if that group of veterans has no shot of winning it all. If they're a title-calibre team, that's one thing. But if they're a bunch of over-the-hill guys who are going to get bounced in round 1 or 2 anyway, then I absolutely agree with you. I like what we saw out of those young 'uns near the end of the year, didn't you Gotham?

Lefty my man, I ran out and bought me some of Green's rookie cards near season's end, I am sold on the kid...and I expect Gnomes and Al Jefferson to develop as well...

Smart investment, that Green - for both you and the Celts.
