Rookie Glen "Big Baby" Davis has signed with the Celtics, but by holding off on doing so, the second-round draft pick was given just a two-year deal. Gabe Pruitt, who was selected three spots higher than Davis in Round 2 of the June draft, received a three-year deal last week. The Celts have made it a practice of using part of their mid-level exception to give their second-round picks a third year, but when free agent James Posey took up what was left of the figure, it meant that Davis could get just two years. -- Boston Herald
