Wizards Finally Solve the Celtics

BOSTON, April 5 -- Washington Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas drilled a three-pointer from 27 feet, backpedaled down the court and began scratching the left side of his head, his face taking a questioning look.
Arenas said he wasn't confused as to how the Wizards had quickly turned a tightly contested game against the Boston Celtics into a 108-91 laugher Wednesday night at TD Banknorth Garden. "I was shaking my head because," Arenas said, pausing for effect, "I can't believe my shot is that good!"

Okay, well, The way the Celtics have played of late, what is Arenas puzzled about? Lowly Chicago was down to them a few days ago and fought back...on the bright side Pierce recovered to hit 11 out of 17 (see Lefty...told you... )

Five years later, Gilbert Arenas still holds a grudge against the Boston Celtics for not selecting him in the first round of the 2001 draft. And for the third time this season, Arenas used that as motivation in the fourth quarter to lead the Washington Wizards to a key win over the Celtics. Arenas scored 38 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, in Washington's 108-91 victory Wednesday night.

Well there you go...we lost on account of a grudge! Teach us to make better us of our 1st round pick...never know who you'll motivate against you!

Once again, that 2001 draft comes back to haunt us. What, Joe Johnson, Kedrick Brown and Joe Forte weren't enough of a curse already? Come on, somebody tell Gilbert Arenas we wish we could take a mulligan on that draft!

Tell me about it...I got tons of cards of Johnson, Brown and Forte...I really though Forte would pan out...see how much I know.
