Both of them will bring a winning attitude with them from Florida, something the Celtics are badly in need of. Brewer is rated as a tremendous defender, while Thorton has size and interior scoring ability. I think the odds are both will wind up having solid careers, even if neither is the big man in the middle the Celtics so desperately need. They can still contribute.

I like Brewer. If we can't have Oden or Durant, then Brewer. Small consolation though.

Yeah, Brewer's a good one. He's no diamond like the two you mentioned, but he ain't exactly cubic zirconia either.

They'll help some. The question is, do you draft the superior player or make sure you fill the need position. Me, I want the best avaliable player. We can get a center elsewhere, and I really don't want to see the Celtics reach for a guy who isn't a top 5 talent.
