DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard scored 30 points each to help the Dallas Mavericks bounce back from consecutive defeats, rallying from a 10-point halftime deficit to beat the Boston Celtics 106-101 on Friday night.
Howard, matching a career-high scoring performance, kept the Mavericks close with 16 first-half points. Nowitzki carried his team down the stretch with 19 points in the final quarter, hitting all five field-goal attempts and all nine free throws in the fourth quarter.
