After an eight-game preseason that concluded with a 106-102 loss to the Toronto Raptors at the TD Banknorth Garden, it seems clear Telfair and Rondo will be logging long minutes at the point.

They bring speed to a Celtics' system that features up-tempo basketball in order to make up for a lack of size.

West averaged 34 minutes per game as the main point guard a year ago ahead of Orien Greene, and Marcus Banks before the was traded in January, and that number probably doesn't figure to be matched this season.

I like the move. I like it even though it seems Ainge gave up a lot to get Telfair. Anyone knoe much abou Rondo? I am not up on him. What's the upside of this kid?

I don't know much about Rondo either but I know Celtics fans like the kid and his speed. Telfair should do well in the system though and together, Boston should be set at the point.

They still lack a good center...but most teams do also these days.
