Ryder goes to Bruins

Habs give this sometimes stellar sometimes not player up - Boston shells out 12 mill dollars over 3 years.
I liked Ryder a few ears back but last season was up and down. habs are cleaning house.

Re: Ryder goes to Bruins

so i failed to realize this right off - Ryder is reunited with former Habs coach Claude Julien, and they are both pleased about that. says Julien:
"Ryder is extremely strong along the boards, cycles well and protects the puck well enough to come out from behind the net to take shots.
"He's gotten better in all the areas which are his forte. One thing he has always done well is he's very good at winning battles along the boards and stepping out into the slot area. He protects the puck very well and he has a great release. Michael has gotten a lot stronger and he can be very physical. He's capable of throwing his weight around and that's why he is a good fit for us. We worked really hard last year in the offensive zone and created chances but I thought one problem was that we weren't getting enough opportunities. He can increase our goal output."

Re: Ryder goes to Bruins

wow, my network card got zapped during a lightning storm so this is all new to me. Ryder to the Bruins! This is quality stuff. I can't wait until October. I hope he does well. I think he will given that every hab who leaves seems to do better under lower expectations. Ryder WILL be a 30 goal scorer again. Leafs should've grabbed him.
