The Dunk Contest was just plain amazing early tonight, Knicks guard Nate Robinson defeat defending champ Dwight Howard for the title, but the kicker was Robinson's winning dunk was when he jumped over Howard. The fans voted Robinson over Howard 52%-48% With that and solid showings from J.R. Smith and Rudy Ferandez it was one of the best dunk contests in a while.

Also LeBron James announced he was planning on competing in the dunk contest next year.

Is the dunk contest getting it's flavor back?

It was pretty cool last night. I missed the winning dunk, I was flipping back and forth!

I thought the dunk where they put the basket up higher was cool as well!

It was good, but it wasn't "amazing". Nate Robinson jumped off of some dudes back to dunk it at one point. How is that amazing? But his dunk over Dwight was sick though. Not taking anything away from him at all.

The Dwight getting a cape thing again, was kind of dumb. Should of done something else. Him raising the goal was prett ape as well. Should have raised it up higher though.

Next year, look at world, LBJ23 is comin'. He is dunkin' on 13 in'.

rudy fernandez was HORRENDOUSLY underrated, dwight howard did the phonebooth dunk way too early, and nate robinson: we get it, you're short and you can jump over things.

lebron'll save this next year and bring some star power to it.

yep, let us see the next all star dunk contest... i would be very nice to see K.B. LJ23, D.Wade, D.Howard, Nate Robinson and if still has the leg and the power Vince Carter competing in a slam dunk contest, sure star fire power.
