Re: 2006 NBA Draft First Round Okay, some of the trades so far: 1. Portland traded Sebastian Telfair and a future draft pick to Boston for the No. 7 pick [Randy Foye], Raef LaFrentz and Dan Dickau. 2. Chicago drafted and dealt LaMarcus Aldridge to Portland for the No. 4 pick [Tyrus Thomas], Viktor Khryapa and the future considerations. 3. Houston drafted and traded Rudy Gay to Memphis for Shane Battier. 4. Minnesota traded Brandon Roye to Portland for Randy Foye and cash. Did I get them all?

Re: 2006 NBA Draft First Round It is him or Shannon Brown going to Cleveland. And can someone explain the Seattle pick? Is there even video footage of this guy? Honestly, in a draft that has a dearth of role player potential Seattle takes someone from Senegal that may never play a game for them. So what's the time frame on Ray Allen forcing a trade? Within three years? Two possibly?

Re: 2006 NBA Draft First Round I wish that Ray Allen would stay where he is. Even though the Sonics are a bad team, he should remain there to help them out. Who needs a championship ring? I am still confused about the whole Tyrus Thomas-LaMarcus Aldridge deal. The best move in the whole draft (in my opinion) was the way that JJ Redick ended up in Orlando, and Adam Morrison landed himself in Charlotte. In a few years (or decades), we might consider the Charlotte Bobcats to be one of the best teams in basketball. Just wait for all the rookies to settle down and score some points!

Re: 2006 NBA Draft First Round I am a huge Ray Allen and Sonics fan. If they had beaten San Antonio in 2005 I really believe they would have won the NBA title (or at least made the finals). That series was much closer than people remember. None the less, The Sonics let McMillan leave for Portland (a move both parties most likely regret) Antonio Daniels for Washington and Jerome James for New York, at some point the organization has to acquire some blame for the biggest collapse I can recall from one season too the next. And drafting another rail thin 7'3 foreigner is not an ideal pick for Allen and Lewis. In my opinion, this pick paled in comparison to The Knicks first overall pick on the outrageousness scale. And as much as I like Ray Allen, he cannot create or make anyone else better on his team. Essentially, he is a glorified role player. The Bruce Bowen of shooting precision, if you will. And the more I think about it, the more him or Redd should have went to Cleveland to play alongside LeBron. If that had taken place, LeBron might have been hoisting that MVP Finals trophy over his head in place of Dwayne Wade.
