This Seattle thing is interesting because I clearly remember David Stern saying that if Seattle lets the Supersonics go that they won't be getting a new team anytime soon. The New Jersey Nets are next to relocate and it won't be in Brooklyn, New York as so many have speculated according to NBA.com.

their logo should consist of a cloud, lightning bolt and thunder waves striking the ground. Instead of abbreviating OKC, they should just have it say Oklahoma City Thunder ( and add on Bolts to Thunder).

Yep have to agree, had all the tools to be one of the best power forwards in history and let himself go during the lockout(s) and could never find his best form or fitness thereafter. Bit of a shame he couldn't lose the weight until after his chance has passed. If you see him now he looks very fit and well, a stark contrast to his last year as a pro. I still love him tho, I still have 3 of his jerseys and a massive poster of him hanging on the wall in my hallway.

Remember the Sonics haven't left Seattle, the name remains even tho the team has left and it can be revived in the event of a new ownership/franchise arrangement with the NBA.

I really miss the Sonics because i grew up during the era where they were really good with Payton and Kemp and when they would face the Lakers, those times be fuuuunnn. Anyone remember the Sonics vs. Bulls?

Obviously your not from Seattle. The good years were with Fred Brown and Slick Watts and those boys. We did get a laugh at the Gary Payton Driving School commercials. He got a bunch of DUI's and wrecks. Because he dont know how to drive worth crap.

He couldnt have done that to the REAL Sonics. But that was another time and era. What the Okies took was our team, but they couldnt take our name or great memories.
